Communicable disease vs. Non-Communicable Disease.
-A communicable disease is a disease that can be transmitted by direct contact.
-A Non-Communicable disease is a disease that can be transmitted without direct contact.
One Communicable disease that is very common is the Flu. The Flu is a very serious virus disease that is spread by cough's sneeze's etc. Some Flu symptom's include Severe aches in muscles, extreme fatigue, headache, and a dry cough. The treatment option that is available is antiviral drugs. Ways that you can prevent you from getting the Flu includes avoiding close contact, staying at home when you are sick, and cleaning your hands. This disease is one of the most common disease's out there. Teens can get tested for the Flu at your local healthcare provider. This is still a disease, so do whatever you can to not get sick, because once you have it you will regret it. Another disease would include the measles. Measles is also a very serious disease, that is spread by coughing or sneezing. Some Measles symptoms include high fever, cough, runny nose, and red watery eyes. Treatment for measles is a lot of antibiotics, and after you have gotten over measles, a post exposure vaccination. Some common ways that you can prevent measles is a simple as washing your hands, other ways to prevent measles include practicing proper hygiene and cleanliness. This disease is pretty common disease as well. Teens can get tested for this disease by their local healthcare provider. Remember this is a very dangerous disease if let untreated, so remember if you may have or have this virus seek medical attention. Another disease that is becoming more and more common nowadays is Rabies. The way Rabies is spread is through close contact with saliva from an animal that had rabies other ways to obtain it include, getting bitten, and getting scratched. Some symptoms of Rabies include weak or discomfort feeling, fever, and headache. The treatment option for Rabies is fast acting shot that prevents the virus from infecting you. Some ways that you can prevent from getting rabies includes vaccinating your pet, alerting animal control if you see an ill animal in the streets, and maintaining control of your pet to reduce exposure to wildlife. While this disease isn't that common, it does happen. You can be tested for rabies if you go to your local hospital, where you can find out. Remember to always vaccinate your dogs and yourself to make sure you stay healthy and reduce you chance of taking this disease into your body. Our final communicable disease will be Ebola. Ebola is a very serious disease, that if left untreated, will result in death. The Ebola virus is spread through direct contact with someone's blood or bodily fluids. Some symptoms include fever, severe headache, muscle pain, and weakness. Unfortunately, there is no treatment option for Ebola, which will most likely end with death, but the best thing you can do for people is stay in quarantine, to prevent the disease from spreading. Ways to prevent from getting Ebola include careful hygiene, avoiding funerals for someone who has just died from Ebola, and avoid facilities where patients are being treated. while a while ago Ebola wasn't as great of a risk of getting, the number of people infected is growing. If your teen or family member has gotten Ebola, stay in a quarantined zone, and contact your local hospital. This disease is very serious unless you want death, do whatever you can to stay away from areas with this virus.
Now for some Non-communicable disease's. One disease that is Non-communicable is Diabetes. Diabetes is a disease that limits the amount of glucose that the body can process. Some symptom's of diabetes could include hunger and fatigue, and peeing more often. Treatments for diabetes differ, but one treatment is medication. Some ways that you can prevent against diabetes includes putting less on your plate, and eating less. This is a very common disease. The way that your teen could get tested is by going to your local healthcare provider. Remember that this is a disease it isn't just something that people go through, once you get it you have it for life. Another Non-Communicable disease is skin cancer. Skin cancer is a cancer, that be caused by many things, one being excessive exposure to the sun. Some symptoms of skin cancer include new spots on the skin or other spots on the skins like a mole growing in size. Treatments for skin cancer include Mohs Micrographic surgery, or Excisional surgery. Ways to prevent against skin cancer include wearing protective sunblock while out in the sun for long periods of time, and other similar options. The way that you get tested for skin cancer is by going to your local hospital if it is becoming a very large issue, and they can treat you for what you have depending on what stage you have. This is a very common disease. This is a very serious disease, so remember to wear protecting sunblock, and make sure you don't have to look back and say I could have prevented this. Another disease includes Heart disease, which is a disease of the heart, that can end in death if left untreated. Some symptoms of heart disease includes shortness of breath, and palpitations. Some treatments for this disease includes knowing CPR in order to bring the person back, and other options include surgeries. Some ways that you can prevent heart disease includes eating healthy, and exercising regularly. Some ways that you can get tested include's going to the hospital or your local healthcare provider and getting tested. This is a very deadly disease, so remember if you experience any of these symptoms see your local healthcare provider ASAP. Our final disease will include Leukemia, which is a cancer that causes your body to produce abnormal cells. Some symptoms of this disease includes Fever, chills, persistent fatigue, and weakness. Some treatments for this disease includes induction therapy, which kills leukemia cells in the bone marrow. Ways to prevent leukemia are very limited, one of the best ways to prevent it is to stay away from high doses of radiation. This disease is very common. The way that you could be tested is by your local healthcare provider. This is a very deadly disease as well, and is not one to be messed with.
